Guidelines For Publication (Hard Copy)
The editor welcomes unsolicited original articles which address issues of
concern to African Methodism and the broader community. The Review
provides a forum for objective and analytical presentations on religious,
educational, social, political, economic, cultural, public policy, and
international issues.
- All copy must be typed, double-spaced on one side only of standard 8-1/2
x 11 inch white bond paper with at least a one inch margin on all sides.
When typed on a word processor, the copy should be printed on a
letter-quality printer and on standard paper. Extra wide, continuous
feed, or line computer paper are not acceptable. It is also helpful to
provide submission on CD-ROM in Microsoft Word format.
- Style, format, and spelling in The AME Church Review are governed by
The
Chicago Manual of Style 14th Edition (Chicago University of Chicago Press,
1993) and American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (Boston,
Houghton Mifflin, 2000).
- The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) or the Contemporary English
Version (CEV) are the preferred Bible translations for The AME Church
Review. Authors are responsible for checking the accuracy for all
Scripture references and wording of quotations from Scripture.
- Authors are urged to use non-sexist language.
- Endnotes should be numbered consecutively in superscript in the text
next to the sentence or word to which the note refers. All endnotes
should be placed in a separate section at the end of the article. Full
bibliographic data for all references must be provided by the author.
